The Dow University Hospital was founded in 2009. It is a top-level academic hospital affiliated with Dow International Medical College in the field of education and training of MBBS and graduate students. The Dow Hospital is a 5-story building with a capacity for 1000 beds, a fully equipped emergency room, large common rooms, semi-private rooms, private rooms, an operating room and treatment rooms. It is also equipped with the most modern devices and units for the treatment of surgical and medical problems, like the 12 bedded ICU and HDU, Nursery, Special Care Unit, Endoscopy Units, and the Liver Transplant Center. The Dow hospital consists of Ultrasound, Echocardiography, pharmacy and cafeteria.

All types of routine and specialized operations are performed by qualified and experienced surgeons of all specialities, including neurosurgery, cardiac surgery and even plastic surgery. The intensive care unit (ICU) is also fully equipped with ventilators and the necessary equipment and monitors. The high dependency unit (HDU) is designed for serious patients who do not need fans. Ten dialysis machines are used daily until late at night; the separate units are intended for patients with hepatitis B and C. A new dialysis laboratory was created to meet dialysis needs around the bell. There is a laboratory centre at Dow Hospital that helps hospital and emergency patients, with the exception of specialized collection centres located in the city and Sindh.
