Talk to Urologist on Urine Burning And Back Pain

I m having urine burning and back pain from quiet some time. Plz guide what tests should i do before visiting the doctor. I m married 1 child. Recently changed the mattress which has reduced the back pain but still there is pain. Which sometimes i felt in the front side of lower abdomen. Do i have to check for my diabetes tests also. I m not overweight.
