Talk to Urologist on Burn/Pain While Urinating

I am experiencing burning while urinating for quite some time now. At first, I thought its due to low water consumption but after having enough water consumption problem is almost still the same. There is no blood in urine nor I am having any issues in bladder, I think its something with the urine pipe OR urine being more dense than normal. Could it be any infection also ? Can someone guide me about the tests I should take OR look for some specific details ? Is there anything I should try before getting much paranoid as I once told a doctor while back but he didn't take me serious at all & prescribed some drops which I never used ?
