hello dr .. im aged 27 i have been taking escitalopram for my depression since the year 2017 according to my dr presciption .. he prescribed me prolexa but i know there are other more famous companies manufacturing this drug. . so now i want to change the brand .. if not prolexa then for which brand should i go for escitalopram .. i have been taking 20 mg aince year 2017

the question is why u take antidepressant for so long??ur depression isn't resolve yet?
it's been long you have been taking antidepressants,it should be atleast tapered down till now discuss it with your registered psychiatrist
you need a re evaluation of your symptoms, because antidepressants should be taken for 6-9 months ,once symptoms improve
Why u are taking the singlr antidepressant for 4 yrs almost...
You shud have taper off the drug if u are well or titrate the dose if u are not well.
Need proper chk up dear.
