Hi,
4 to 5 days back the kid's (age 3 yrs) back of thigh got burnt with motor bike exhaust (silencer). We did not consulted any doctor but started applying Quench Cream 50g twice a day.
Due to sweat the eschar comes off and today there was bleading from the wound twice.
Have the following questions if any dermatologist can assist.
->Should we cover the wound or keep it open? ->Should we clean the wound with pyodine and apply Quench or any other ointment (antibiotic)?

Need to clean the wound properly than decide whether quench is better or not.
I think duoderm Et much better choice .
book an appointment for proper evaluation of burn depth and further plans.
U did good by applying quench cream..
But now wound is infected..
Add cream polyfax with the quench cream...
And give a antibiotic syp with it.
Syp Calamox 156mg/5ml 1 teaspoonful 3 times a day
this is a big area without skin .he needs wound cleening woth pyodine .should take him to hospital and get it viewed might need debridement . where is ur location .
1)You should cover the wound
2)clean the wound thoroughly with Normal saline flush followed by application of FLAMAZINE CREAM
3) Use Bactigras mesh before putting the gauze
Aoa. Pl cover the wound wash the wound wt normal saline. Quench is good. Give him Brufen Ds syp
