Sputum AFB Smear/Gene x-pert test
Pleural Fluid D/R and Gene x-pert test
if u have sputum then gene expert sputum will be the best option.
for how long you are taking T.B medicines. you need pleural fluid examination .go to some government T.B center. These centers are in all big government hospitals. In Lahore you can go to Gulab Devi chest hospital.
Go for gene xpert test for sputum. Quantiferon TB Gold is also an option. For further guidance related to testing and pathological diagnosis, please call.
Pleural Fluid should be tested (for biochemistry and differential cell count) ADA levels can also be helpful.
AFB Smear and Gene Xpert in pleural fluid are only seldom positive
If you are producing sputum then sputum for AFB and Gene Xpert can confirm the disease.
