My Mother is Suffering from Chest problem for 2 decades.. she is getting a treatment of a Doctor from Abbottabad. According to Dr. she is suffering from Seasonal asthma...recently she cought up by asthma attack and severe coughing...since last 2 month .. she did not recover completely.. she is using montilocast, combivores, tyover-f since last 3 year...
She needs proper examination and tests to find the reason of her increase in symptoms. So better consult a chest physician immediately.

She needs proper examination to find out whether she is suffering from seasonal asthma or copd. It is to be find out whether she has some other disease like diabetes mellitus or cardiac problem.if diabetes mellitus is present then care should be taken while prescribing the steroids.she should also be investigated for any lower respiratory tract infection. A chest xray,complete blood picture,Ecg and sputum c/s should be done.
From the history,it appears she may have asthma rather poorly controlled.As suggested by other colleagues,she requires proper assessment.In meantime you can give short course of Steriods ,Prednisone 30 mg daily for one week & observe response. Thanks
