Asking For Someone else, Brother, Male, 54 Years old, attock
Hello sir my brother diagnosed T.B/lymphoma (according to CT scan)almost 1 and half yrs back and from last year he was on anti TB ,he improved with anti TB medicine almost one year he spent healthy and improved but from one month he was having again same symptoms,high grade fever ,weight loss ,(during whole year he was regularly did his followup from Dr Rizwan A Qazi ) now repeated CT scan again and report is same ,he is taking antibiotic injectable,and injection provas for fever but it is uncontrolled ,his doctor advised bone marrow biopsy ,report is awaited,now I want to know where to take him in emergency as he is having continues fever ,patient is in attock city ,please suggest where to take him and if possible recommend any doctor as well ,jazzakAllah

There is much probability of TB again.
TB may be simple like commonly treated easily.. But some risk of DRTB is also seemingly there.
But other diseases s like lymphoma, and lung malignancy should be ruled out.
If he is having any sputum that should be tested for
-Gene Xpert MTB
-TB culture and sensitivity
- bacterial and fungal culture and sensitivity ( from agha khan hospital lab, though first of above 2 sputum tests can be done free of cost from govt TB centres at district or big city hospitals.)
Fresh CXR and/ OR CT scan of chest films to be shared along with previous films if available.
