I went into severe depression after a very traumatic breakup and I was prescribed Zoloft 50 mg every day for 3 months by a psychiatrist. I took it for 2 months. helped me well. but now its like my entire depression has kicked back in strongly again and I cant control it anymore I don't know what to do. I have my Prof coming up in 2 months time and in this state I can't concentrate and study. I want to ask the Psychiatrists and Psychologists here if I should start Zoloft 3 months again or should I take Cipralex. p.s I can't visit my same psychiatrist again bcz some of my family just won't understand my condition and tell me to shrug it off. but I can't.

Dear you took psychiatric medicine for 2 month now your severe depression had improved but this is the time you should consult for psychotherapeutic intervention from Clinical psychologist. Then your depression treatment will complete
U should continue taking medicine that prescribed by psychiatrist and also take some therapeutic sessions it will helpful for u
1. you can not restart until you talk with dr
2. medication and therapy both r important for u.
3. if you switch off mediciene you cant restart yourself cuz severity is always different with time. so you need dr anyhow
