Consult a psychotherapist (Psychologist) for therapeutic sessions. It is a slow process of healing with less chances of relapse. Medications are not good especially in neurotic cases. Try to overcome it with the help of therapist.

It is necessary to psychoeducate that patient. Also needed to build a trustworthy therapeutic relationship with patient, so he/she will be able to discuss his/her issues properly and will be able to visit psychiatrist or clinical psychologist. Otherwise online consultation is also available through Marham.pk. Just book an appointment and that's all. Where there is a will there's a way

Since how long is she having these symptoms? Triggers need to be identified and proper psychotherapy administered in order to treat her issues, medicine might not be needed.

Please book an appointment through Marham for counselling and therapy.

Thanks for your response. Client needs to be educated first that it is not essential that you will be prescribed medications. It is important to visit and consult psychologist first. He /she shall analyze whether she needs medicines or not and will let her know about the assessment process.

At the end it is up to the cloent whether to continue or withdraw treatment. But there is no harm in consultation.

First of all, the female needs to b attached with a family member or friend whom the patient trusts. it is only to assure healthy relationship so the patient can b taken in to confidence regarding her illness. and then convinced to c a psychologist. it's also important that you mention how you discovered she has the above mentioned illnesses. has she been to a psychiatrist previously and did not have a pleasant experience or what.
next also you may take online consultation from a psychologist, explain all the symptoms in detail. the Psychologist will start management by making you a co therapist or one whom client trusts. then ins management will b v easy even if she does not visit anyone. you may help her by booking an online session for her and so the needful. gradually the patient will also show interest ins wen co therapist will act according to the therapist suggestions.
best wishes for her

JazakAllah thanku for such detailed reply, yes the patient has been to psychiatrist and it was a very bad experience because the side effects of medicine made the condition even worse so now the patient is very stubborn about not going to any psychiatrist or psychologist, more over the corona situation has made ever thing even for stressful , the patient cant go any where outside to feel better ...

ok, den I would suggest the co therapist thing will help ins. u may book an appointment on her behalf or any one who has a good rapport with the client. behavioural management may b started and ins she will agree for cognitive beh therapy with time. rapport building with the therapist will also improve her condition and she will benefit from online counseling in this COV-ID situation
best wishes and get well soon wishes sent her way

yes ins it will. it is because basically she is in need of reassurance that all is well for her and she won't b judged or treated differently on the basis of her mental state and also that she is a normal human being with a bit of stressors and she will b fine soon. she doesn't want to b labelled. with psychological intervention, ins and unconditional positive regard, she will soon b out of this problem.

So sorry to hear about this. Clients itself is not able to see what she is going through, it is necessary to motivate the client to seek help. She really needs to learn some relaxation techniques and some copying strategies to cope with her own issues. May be you can help her with booking online psychotherapy sessions. Stay healthy, stay positive

Thank you dr. for reply, do relaxation techniques really help to get better? If medicines are not taken and only relaxation techniques are applied is that enough because the patient does not want to take medicines because of severe side effects

It is not necessary k apko medicines he leni pary g, kbhi kbar sirf psychotherapy e enough hoti h to resolve the issues, it totally depends on client’s will power and the support that’s client seeks from psychologist and family/ friends.

The main problem is that the elders of that family thinks that patient does not has any psychological issues , the spouse and siblings are very supportive... and sometime its very difficult to convince or convey the elders or parents about psychological problems

Just describe the condition to psychiatrists if its worse n give her medication. Dont force her for sessions or she will become stubborn just try to convince her and let her decide for her own self. You can just give information about what counsellor, psychologist and psychiatrist do.

There are multiple issues , the patient does not eat medicines for more then few days because of severe side effects, so giving them medicines without sessions is even more difficult...
