Asking For Self, Female 26, Rawalpindi

Hi, I have some severe anxiety concerns from last 4 to 5 years. But past days they are getting quite serious. I feel no strength in my body, it numbs my head spins n I feel palpitations all the time. Most of the time I get severe panic attacks for no reason n now I doubt if they're panic attacks or do I have any other medical issue. Like yesterday I lost my breathe, I felt nausea, shivering, sweating and Severe palpitations and I felt that I cant survive more. I took jibrone at that time n got a bit better. Now it's been more than 24 hrs n still I've breathe issue, I feel no strength in the body like I can't walk properly n I've palpitations too. I've MODTON Tablet as well, can that be taken when ive panic attacks? And a major question, can it be some other medical issue? Please suggest me something what to do n take when Ive panic attacks n when I feel no strength n stamina in the body?

that is great if you have no medical cause.then it seems to be panic attacks that are definitely problematic but not dangerous to life.but dear you need proper psychiatric evaluation and then treatment to get yourself rid off this issue. you should take appointment from psychiatrist and then discuss everything.jaza kallah

Instant medicine is not advisable, rather relaxation exercise (breathing exercise) works as good as those instant medicine.

Thanks for sharing ur concern. U seem to be suffering a lot. yes dear there are many medical conditions which can give panic attacks and depression. If u have continuous symptom (not a short atttack ) and shortness of breath then u definitely need to get checked in detail. Hows ur bowel motion and any excessive sweating. Do u feel more weakness while climbing stairs ? and tummy pains ?

Yes when I get panic attacks I feel the urge to go to the washroom. My stomach gets upset too even the thought of panic attacks upsets my stomach. I feel lethargic all the time n I quit the exercise too because I feel like I can't breath properly after that. I used to be energetic all the time but now I don't like to leave my bed as I don't feel good. I'm getting lazier day by day along with that weakness and panic thoughts

Very sorry to read about ur situation. But plz just calm down and let me reassure u that wheather it’s a panic disorder or an underlying medical or endocrine problem, it’s manageable. You are too young and can easily fight it out. You may book an appointment to consult in detail and i would then like to advise u some blood tests to r/o some possible medical conditions. Hope this is helpful, u may post for any further querry.

I think you need to consult a good Psychiatrist. He will also be able to rule out medical causes of your symptoms.

Apparently these symptoms are depicting picture of Anxiety Spectrum. This can also occur as a part of thyroid disorder which is common in female gender. You need to get your Thyroid profile done. For palpitations you can use Tab Inderal 10mg whenever you deem necessary. One of the evidence based therapy for Panic attacks is CBT. You can see it on You-Tube and consult a Psychotherapist.
