walaikum slam. depression is treatable if diagnosed properly and managed accordingly. I can understand your situation. you must seek medical consultation with psychiatrist as soon as possible.you will find benefit.

Aoa, there is nothing wrong in getting evaluated by a psychiatrist, but not by a psychologist at this stage as you will need urgent start of medication after being diagnosed as a case of depression. Medicine are not addictive and after few weeks your treatment with talking therapies will be started. Its better to take a physical consultation rather than online, as your physical examination and some lab tests may also be needed.
Please seek urgent treatment from a Psychiatrist. You might need indoor admission for few days if feeling suicidal. Take care of your mental health.. Stay safe and blessed
