Asking for Mother, Female, 70 years old, hyderabad pakistan
My mother remember and talk a lot about past lift, and remember the events which happened years back. she speaks to her self most of the time and keep talking for hours, she is also afraid of lot of things. she recognises all people but sometimes struggle, she gets aggressive sometimes and start crying for small things. when she sees in mirror herself, she thinks it's someone else, she also sometimes struggle for sleep. Any advise please

Welcome, your mother’s age is 70 years and there are lots of challenges in the old age,your mother needs to be assessed for Dementia which is of many kind like Alzheimer’s, multi-infarcts and others, these two types of dementias are most common amongst all, if there is a history of diabetes, hypertension then it may be of multi- infarct Dementia, memory problem is the key symptom but other neuropsychiatric symptoms can occur, patient has probe with recent memory and recalls the past events, and one thing more Parkinson’s disease can be occurs along with dementia, better to visit and get assessed, thanks
She should be evaluated for neurological causes in the brain and yes also for behavioural chAnges to make a proper diagnosis she should have some tests as well. She can be checked at a memory clinic available at ur city.
