Talk to Psychiatry on Medicine Timing

Asking for Self, Female, 31 years old, Karachi

Hi I am taking brintillex for anxiety/depression since two weeks. My psychiatrist suggested I should take it at sehri time in Ramadan but I couldn’t wake up for sehri and missed my dose of brintillex. Now I am thinking of taking it regularly at iftar time so that there are no chances of missing it in case I don’t wake up for sehri. I have two concerns though; 1) will it interfere with my night sleep if I take it at iftar time? 2) will it work the next day if I take it at iftar a night before? I’ve heard that it works for only 10-12 hours after taking it that’s why it’s suggested to take it in the morning.

Please help. Already have a lot of anxiety don’t want this to be a contributor aswell.

you can take it any time but if you feel restless, energized, or have trouble sleeping, then take in morning time or sehri. take your dose at the same time of the day everyday.
