Hi there,
My niece has done 7,8 lose motion in one day and she is doing this from yesterday, today it got to a number of 7,8. She is 7 months old and her mother is giving infacol and entamizol with ors regularly. Her mother is also giving her yogurt and banana and khichri also. Please let me what can we do, should we take her into emergency. Her mood is a bit irritated, she can't sleep properly taking lots of short naps.
She is probably dehydrated as well. May need I/V infusions. 7,8 loose motions are too much,please see a pediatrician.
Entamizol is not always indicated though in the third world countries 50% of the diarrhea in children is bacterial, rest viral.
looking like infective gastroenteritis...please take her to pediatrician
No need any medicine only give ORS
Better take to pediatrician for hydration status
