as blood culture is positive. ur Child needs iv antibiotics with imipenem. consult some good paediatrician nearby or hospital how to manage further

your child had typical symptoms of typhoid fever and it needs a good care at this stage

child is tolerating oral medication so wait for iv antibiotics as these are costly

encourage oral intake ( soft diets mostly )

low osmolar ORS 90 ml ( 3 oz ) after each loose stool

syrup zincat-od 5 ml po once in a day for 10 days

probiotic ( I recommend enterogermina ) 1+1 for 3 days

syrup panadol 5 ml Po 8 hourly

syrup brufen 5 ml po 8 hourly

( give panadol and brufen alternatively every 4 hourly )

now choice of antibiotic

start syrup azomax 5 ml po twice in a day (1+0+1) for 7 days

P.S fever will resolve after 4-5 days of azomax , and azomax will be continued for 10 days if needed

if child stop taking orally or vomits everything out then we will start injection imipenem ( it is will be given thrice in a day )

use boiled water and avoid outdoor foods and it is transmitted from these things
