Aslam-o-Alikum, My son is 13months Masha Allah, Understand everything properly but don't speak proper words. His elder brother was very well spoken and clear in his language at his age, but little one speaks 1-2 words very unclear, like only parents know what is he speaking he don't even say Mama Baba unless crying and that too very little. Every one at home is very talkative to him He made him understand himself to us by making sounds like "Aaaa" "Baaa" so we pay attention to him I'm worried ?

a child normally start to speak words from age 18 to 20 months and every child's development, eruption time and sequence of teeth etc varies.
u can wait for a few mts and if he still has delayed speaking of stammering then consult a speech Therapist and ENT consultant for hearing checkup.
if he has any developmental or other visible sign then consult a neurologist as well.
