Talk to Pediatrician on Speech Delay

Aoa. My daughter is 1 year and 10 months old. She can say words like mama baba dada nana boon (Balloon) also sometimes call her sister name anayah but very less but im very worried for her because everyone ask me why dont she speak as her cousin of same age speaks everyword and sentence. She was also born premature at 32 weeks. Plz guide me i should wait or should take her to speech therapist and when can i do as a mother to guide her when she was small we lived alone so there were many less people to talk to her

need to know other mile stones achieved . like running . her understanding of small commands . her teath erruption . and your family history of any abnormalities or delayed speach .
No need to worry...she will talk normally in couple of months....try to give her phone or ipad for watching urdu cartoons or TV as there r less people to talk.

Consult developmental pediatrics department of children hospital lahore for proper evaluation and guidance.
Being a preterm, born at 32 weeks and especially if she has received gentamicin or the same group antibiotics while in the Nursery (Neonatology Ward) she needs to undergo audiometry for hearing assessment for your concern regarding speech delay. However, for developmental (milestones) assessment the age of your daughter needs to be corrected by 2 months (8 weeks) until she is 2 years old. Audiometry is available at Children Hospital, Lahore, besides, Developmental Paediatrics Department suggested by one of my learned colleagues.
