Talk to Pediatrician on Small PDA
Asking for Other, Male, 1 years old, Karachi
I need your help to keep this anonymous as there are family who will unnecessarily create panic
My sisters son 1 y 1 month had PDA of 2mm. It was not Audible to dr on examination and on echo too, dr suggested that we dont need to do anything. We want second opinion. I can share the report as recommended.

Yes, kindly share the report. If recent echo report is normal and it’s not audible on examination, there is nothing to worry about. It’s gonna resolve completely over time. If it’s very small like 2 mm and is getting smaller than the previous one and Child is not exhibiting any symptoms like weight loss or poor oral intake or breathing difficulty then it may be delayed.
