Reflex means , babies sometimes will throw up after meals ,this usually settles by 6-7 months of age , hiccups are ok , give feed and will stop

hiccups will not cause any harm to baby. Reflux will improve in next 2-3 months . no treatment is needed if baby is gaining weight.

she is gaining weight. but sometimes she coughs so badly in her sleep and makes weird faces as something sour is in her mouth. i fear she will spit milk in her sleep it will cause harm. is it ok to leave it as it or should i get her checked. is medication necessary? or i can avoid this. she burps after every feed.

Symptoms of Reflux in babies are:

Crying/uncomfortable during feeds.
Arching back.
Vomiting.
Poor feeding.
Appears in pain.
Poor weight gain.


Generally it improves by 6 months when baby starts sitting up and goes on solid food.

However, if it affects feeding, sleeping or weight gain then should be treated with certain medicines.
