There are no standard guide lines as to when ear piercing is to be done.Its not about memory it's about pain , process is painful and optional ,so better to delay untill girl grow up.4 months is too early
Pain is pain and a baby just born also feels pain...
This is not the appropriate age for piercing of ears......
so please let the child groom up and do this after age of 5 years which is suitable age actually......
wait until the child is willfully willing to do piercing of her ears. not suitable now
