Asking for Other, Female, 1 years old, Karachi

I got my daughter vaccinated with typhoid conjugate vaccination yesterday morning and she was in pain earlier ao we gave her panadol drops but from the evening and specially from night, she is having fever which normalizes in between but again comes back.

Typhoid vaccine just like any other vaccine has very minimal side effects, and in vast majority of cases, it is only the local pain or fever, that lasts for a day or two. It does not cause any serious side effects at all. Some patients might b having any super added viral illness before vaccination that can make the parents confused.

Thanks doctor. I dont think there is any other viral infection. It was probably just a one off vaccine reaction when body is fighting back. She is feeling much better from today evening Alhamdulillah :)

You can give panadol drops according to weight for fever 6 hrly for 24 hrs or if still having fever I could be due other viral or bacterial infection other than vaccination.In.that case u should visit pediatrician

Better to give Syrup calpol 4ml every 6 hourly and vaccines can have fever 24 to 48 hours so dont worry.....
