Asking for Other, Male, 5.5 years old, Lahore

My son is 5.5 years old. Blood comes from his nostril. It is happening from many years. The nose bleeds once or twice a year at least. He had these nose bleeds episodes twice this month with a gap of 15-20 days. What could be the reason? Only 1 nostril bleeds n it stops in a while. Should I be worried?

nose bleeds or epistaxis is a common and generally benign condition. It settles as the child grows older. it is caused by picking at the nasal septum which kids do as a habit, you need to stop that. it is also noted to worsen in hot summer days, so avoid staying in sun for longer periods.

Not to worry, .training to child to cut nails regularly and watering to nose as during prayer before cleaning nose and immediately press nose at time of bleeding with two fingers.
