Asking For Self, Female 0, Peshawar

My twin baby girls age 3.5 months, on mixed feed (Using Simmilac Total Comfort 1- only 4 ounces a day each , rest on mother feed) are having cough since last 10 days. Using COFERB drops (5 drops 3 times daily to both) but it isn't working much. a certain attack of cough started that lasts for 5 to 10 minutes and then stops for 3 to 4 hours .

Watch for gastro-esophageal reflux. If present cough drops will not help. Keep the baby in inclined position like in a carry cot.

Young babies don’t cough that much ,better get him checked by your doctor , meanwhile you can nebulise baby with 1 ml of normal saline and keep in upright position, good luck

Rhe common reason for coughing in infants is Bronchitis (viral infection), upper airway viral infections and post brochiolititc cough which may last for good few weeks and then improve itself.

However, whooping cough (pertussis) can present like the way you have described. Therefore I would recommend to see a qualified Paediatrician please
