A.o.A m having some lactation issues.. my 2 months old baby canot get enough feed.. my diet is goid plus m taking lassi and fluids also but still he cries a lot in evening caz of no feed.. and i hav to give him top feed once a day... i dont want to give top feed.. plz any doc can help??? p.s bcz of too much food intake m gaining lot of weight which is depressing for me

Breast feed quantity usually depends on baby's demands. If baby latches and sucks, Breast milk supply should be maintained. Once on top feed, baby will gradually shift to formula and breast milk will further dry up. If your baby was gaining weight while he was on exclusive BF, supply was enough for him. Please remember, breast milk is easily digestible hence baby frequently demands feed and this does not mean that he is not getting enough feed.
