Hope you’re doing well well. My 3 months old baby got cough with noisy breathing. Chest and nose is congested. Giving him “OFYLIN” 1ml (1+1) from one day. Almost 24 hours have passed but baby didn’t show any improvement even his condition is getting worse. Please suggest your valuable advice.

If the infant is having rapid breathing, chest retractions, is unable to take feeds or is running temperature he must be taken to a hospital. Ofylin is a drug used in Bronchial Asthma, a diagnosis rarely made before one year of age. You may use Normal Saline Nose Drops for nasal congestion, 1-2 drops each side of the nose before offering each feed. If you happen to have a nebuliser machine at home use it with 2 ml Normal Saline every 4-6 hours. A Bulb Sucker is useful in removing nasal mucus periodically and keeping the upper airway clear.
