Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Oman
Hi. Can u post this anonymously on marham?
My baby boy was born in the first week of august after 6 years of trying. Unfortunately, he was born with shoulder dystocia resulting in erbs palsy of his left arm. I'm heartbroken. Going through severe postpartum depression. The doctors have told us to do physiotherapy, they have taught us how to do it. Usually the recovery is almost in 90 percent of the cases in around 3-9 months. But I'm scared. Feeling so hopeless these days. I do his exercises regularly at every diaper change. Hoping for the best. Has anyone been through this? How long did it take for your child to recover?
yes the doctor has told u right. it usually recovers in 90 days. also keep hand in statue of liberty position. continue with physiotherapy
Don't lose hope. Trust what your doctor has told you.
