Talk to Pediatrician on Eczema And Itching
Asking for Self, Male, 4 years old, Islamabad
My son 4months 7days old has eczema on full body and it appears like patches on skin... Since yesterday he got it severe and scratches his ears and cheeks alot... He is very restless and cries.. Am applying hydrocortisone cream 1%, oilatum bar, physiologal lotion after bath but he is not recovered.. Please tell me how to deal with it.. Am so worried.

Dear Parent,
Continue hydrocortisone cream 1% oilatum and physiogel.
Please follow General measures as well as they are important to prevent and lessen exacerbations.
-avoiding environmental aggravators such as chlorine, sand and grass, and washing immediately after coming into contact with these
-wearing loose, cotton clothing and avoiding overheating
-having soap-free washes
-give him short bath(two to three minutes is recommended)
-avoiding hot showers or baths; tepid water is preferred
you need to continue these medications and preventive measures for very long period of time.
