Talk to Pediatrician on Crusty Pimple Type Spots

person-avatar

Asking For Other, Male 1, karachi

My 7 month old baby boy has these crusty pimple type spots on his arms just above the elbow. This is the 4th one, 3 have already healed. They start with a red spot then turn into a pimple type spot and then a crust forms, after which they gradually heal in a week leaving behind a light brownish spot on the skin. I only apply polyfax on it. They happen within the same area and on the similar places like this is the first one on the left arm above elbow, the previous three happened on the right arm above elbow just 1 cm apart from others. Please tell what are these and why are they happening again and again.

This seems Impitigo which is caused by bacterial infection most likely streptococcus.
It usually occurs after insect bite or a small wound etc.
For knowing the causes of this infection I need detailed history including past history, history of chicken pox, and weight and growth of this child.
