Assalamu alaykum.
my son age 5 years 9 months has cough again as weather has become colder and drier.
He always gets cough with changes of weather and very severe cough in winter every year.
With start of winter we srarted giving brittanyl 1 tea spoon daily.
Tonight he threw some phlegm in vomit as well.
He is little bit asthmatic, and has large adenoids and tonsills as well.We want to delay adenotonsillectomy for at least 3 years...
Now giving him calpol 1 teaspoon for fever as well.
Remember couple of years ago we used to give him 1 tablet myteka daily for asthma and allergies.
please advise all medicines for him that we shall regularly give through out winter??? occasionally we nebulise him with full nebule clenil.dont add any water.
The history has been narrated quite well but this child certainly needs physical examination for specific medicine prescription.
The best that can be given is fish liver oil ( either use syp or give one capsule daily ( puncture and give liquid by mouth ).
for permanent treatment better is to go for homeopathic treatment. your problem is curable in homeopathic instead of management. you can book appointment through marham
Child needs check up at clinic investigations and further management please bring him to my clinic and then we will discuss
It sounds like Asthma from your history. I am assuming a Paediatrician had diagnosed him with this and would have given the inhaler to prevent further episodes. If not , i recommend to see a qualified Paediatrician in the first opportunity

respected doctor!child has been checked many times by senior ent surgeons and pediatricians. There is a consensus that he has allergies.Secondly there is consensus that his adenoids and tonsils are swollen. Now issue where theres difference of opinions exist are Asthma or no asthma and does child need immediate adeno tonsillectomy or not.We want to delay surgery for few years. Now were giving myteka 5 g once daily.brittanyl one teaspoon twice.and betnesol n nasal drops one drop per nostril twice a day.
With regards to enlarged adenoids, follow ENT advice.
Also to mention that Asthma is a clinical diagnosis such chronic cough, wheezing, night time cough, breathlessness during excercise. If these symptoms are present it is most likely Asthma.
My professional advice would be to see a qualified Paediatrician to make a thorough assessment in order to make a clear diagnosis and an effective and appropriate treatment plan
