Talk to Pediatrician on Blocked Nose Cough Child
Asking for Other, Male, 5 years old, Rawalpindi
Son age 5.5 again having blocked nose. Cough. Phlegm stuck in chest. Just had a course of antibiotic duricef few days ago. Until now doesn't seem to have fever.

Need advice please. Son age 5.5 has blocked nose. Cough. Very hoarse voice. Can hardly speak. Giving him acefyl respiratory one and half teaspoon twice a day. Nebulised with one full nebule clenil compositum. Did gargles gharraray with warm water and salt. Gave tea and boiled egg. Still no fever. He completed course of duricef a few days ago he had 103 fever a week ago.

Stop previous medications. Give him syp. Britanyl 1/2 teaspoon 3 times a day for 7 days. Also start syp.zatofen 1/2 teaspoon twice a day for 1 month. Use gargles and simple nebulization with normal saline if req5.if still not improving consult Ur nearest doctor

Hoarse voice, painful speech are indicative Laryngitis ( Infection of voice box). This could be Viral (as in Croup) or bacterial. If running high fever, looks unwell, any difficulty breathing then please take him to Emergency Department.
Otherwise, wait untill it resolves spontaneously..
