2. Mje bachpan se celiac disease h and me parhaiz karti hun. Baby ne meri feed chor di hui h. Usko apparently wheat porridge, roti ya bread se as such masla nihuaabu tak koi. To test abi karwana chahiay ya ni. Ho skta h weight gain isi liye na ho rha ho.
3. She developed a severe oral thrush in month 6 and left breastfeeding. Now she drinks Enfamil. Is that OK for replacement of mother feed or should be switched?
4. Sometimes she passes very hard stool and has to strain too much to pass it. What should be done. I giver her water through out the day.
With a birth weight of 2.3 kg the infant has almost tripled her weight. Roughly infants doubles their weight in 4-6 months and have three times their birth weight by one year. Low birth weight babies keep a lower than usual weight gain until two years of age. The weight gain after 6 months of age is not as rapid as in early months. Infants need to be, sort of, taught to take solids. Always offer solids when she is hungry. You may feed her milk after solids if she is still hungry. Offer her solids 3 times a day. First degree relatives of people with Coeliac Disease need to be screened for the disease. So you can get your daughter tested for the Disease if you suspect growth faltering. You may continue with Enfalac formula milk if the infant is tolerating it well. A six to 12 months old infant needs no more than 120-240 mls of water per day. The constipation will be taken care of if you give your infant solid foods 3 times a day because of their fibre content. Meanwhile you may try Lactulose 2.5 mls twice daily adjusted according to response.
