Plz do not worry. In most cases this settles down over time. Only rarely there is need for intervention. The watering is because of the non opening of the duct that takes water from eyes to inside the nose. As the baby grows the size of face and hence the size of the duct increases. And the problem is solved. This may take few months. Massage may help to open the duct a bit earlier. But even without massage this would settle. Keep cleaning the eyes frequently till that time.

massage of the duct 4-5 times/ day for 5 minutes each cycle. starting from upper medial side of eye to lateral side of the nose till tip of the nose on the affected side. it will improv with time. probing and syringing can be done at any age after 5-6 months age .

Please, continue doing the massage. It may take up to a year for the blocked tear duct to open which is causing the watering from the eye. If he develops eye discharge he may need treatment with eye drops and or eye ointments. At 12 to 13 months of age a minor procedure called probing may be needed if the condition persists.
