Assalam o alaikum My sister is on steroids almost 6 or 7 month n now she stop this medicine on June 2021 now she is complaining hip pain so dr suggest for X-ray n now MRI .I’m attaching MRI Report please suggest

any more delay will completely damage the joint and then only treatment will be total hip replacement

Salam, she got AVN hip means head of femur is dead, it will get worse over the time unfortunately. she needs to be examined by orthopedic surgeon who has expertise of hip and knee . However she will need total hip replacement eventually. I practice in Rawalpindi Islamabad and you are welcome to visit me. Thanks
she is having this problem because of steroids. femur head need to be decompressed surgically to increase the chances of its survival. this surgery may improve her symptoms but she will eventually need hip replacement.
