Assalaam u alaykum.our grand mother around 80 years old had her leg broken.Due to no movement of leg her thigh area has become severely red.We are afraid it's bed sore???kindly advise... JazakAllaah...

It looks more like ecchymosis but due to persistent pressure can develop into bed sore. Get proper treatment from some hospital for the fracture so that nursing care to prevent bed sore can be initiated

get chest x ray , x ray hip ap & lateral views , cbc , esr, ptaptt inr done ,
get proper check up from the operating surgeon

by the picture I can tell someone did a partial hip replacement through a posterior approach which has now gone infected unfortunately. needs drainage and maybe implant removal
it's more or less a pointing abcess. any experienced surgeon can spot it immidiately
