Talk to Orthopedic Surgeon on Pain In Calf Muscles Of Right Leg Since 5 Yrs

My husband has pain in calf muscles of right leg since 5 yrs.he has taken many medicine and consulted many drs but it was all of no use.His father has same kind of pain.previously he had raised uric acid for which he took tab xurig.he feels that whenever he eats any protein containing food(meat,chicken,palses) his pain increases in intensity and to reduce that he use to take nuberol fort or xurig.last time we consulted from AKU they get his EMG done after that they said they r suspecting Mcardle disease fr which genetic test should be done(which they will send to America) which are quite expensive..i want sugestion is it really necessary to get those test done? And Dr said there is no any treatmnt of it just we wil confirm the disease! then why should we get them done!!I m bit afraid too that if we will leave this as it is then it can lead to any complication.
