Asking for Self, Female, 26 years old, Karachi, Pakistan
Two days back I slipped from the stairs of my house onto the floor which resulted in 5th metatarsal fracture(Dancer's fracture) in my left foot. The doctor applied a plaster cast to the back of my whole leg.I wanted to ask what sort of care should be taken. The doctor told me I have to put zero weight on my left foot. And no water should touch it or else the plaster might break. Now the thing is that I have a 8 month old and it is really difficult to handle her when I am immobilized. Can i put a little weight on that foot. What other should I take. Also one other question that I have is that I usually sleep sideways so sleeping on my back is an issue for me.I havent been able to sleep properly since two days. Can I sleep sideways?
