Dear , mutton has less cholesterol and fat as compared to lamb and beef, you can give her yakhni without any fat chunk, or she can consume mutton but less than 50 g per day. Be careful, no fried and fatty mutton be given . Remove charbi before giving, better to give yakhni having no fat chunks

You can use lean meat but avoid cooking in extra oil. You can use bake , steam, grill your meat. Red meat is good source of omega 3 protein , vitamin b12 , niacin , zinc , iron. But if she is feeling any kind of pain on her left side. Try to avoid red meat as it raises cholesterol . Other than that avoid cooking your meat in trans or saturated fats. Cook it in coconut or olive oil preferably.

Lean steak is low in fat and cholesterol and high in protein — qualities normally considered healthy. But eating a lot of it can still cause heart disease..

red meats (beef, mutton ) have more saturated (bad) fat than chicken, fish and vegetable proteins such as beans. Saturated and trans fats can raise your blood cholesterol and make heart disease worse. The unsaturated fats in fish, such as salmon, actually have health benefits..

so your mother shoild have only 1 to 2 serving of red meat in a week
thank you
Dr. Anam
