she has been having migraine for 2 years. last recommended medicine was synflex 550 mg. now she has 2 months pregnancy. what is the effect of synflex on pregnancy??? should it be taken or not? please recommend any other medicine if it is not suitable.

She should stop synflex. Take panadol as needed for migraine headaches

Synflex(naproxen) is safe upto 20 wks of pregnancy. But after 20 wks of pregnancy it is not safe. So within 20 wks of pregnancy you can use synflex but after 20 wks you can not use synflex. After 20 wks of pregnancy you can use paracetamol
Avoid first three months, take paracetamol two tablets as needed

Synflex is Naproxen Sodium. First trimester of pregnancy any medication is discouraged. After 20 weeks Naproxen is said to affect the developing baby’s kidneys. Kindly make sure first that the diagnosis of migraine is correct by consulting a neurologist who specializes in treatment of headaches.
