Yes, but it has to be a slow taper.... Ask your doctor to give you the tapering schedule. It should be done over a period of 3-4 months

you have to start reducing your dose first...then stop it gradually... if there will recurrence of symptoms then continue medicine and if all remain good then you can stop medication

Please give details of your general health and frequency of fits when it started and how long did you have fits before you started the medication. Also any family history of epilepsy and what investigations were carried out? Also include description of a typical fit as observed by someone. How did you feel before and after fit. Did you ever injure yourself, any tongue bite or voiding of urine?

Before we think of tapering your medication down we have to make sure that the diagnosis of epilepsy was based on firm grounds. That means we want to make sure that you actually have had epilepsy. Sometimes functional fits are mistakenly diagnosed as epilepsy.
