Talk to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon on Tongue Laceration
Asking for Other, Female, 1 years old, Karachi
My 1 year old daughter slipped and hurt her chin on the coffee table due to which her tongue came in between her teeth and got cut at the tip. A small flap of her tongue is protruding outwards. Will it heal on its own or would require sutures?

Thanks for putting up your problem. It must have been many hours since the injury, mouth wounds heal very quickly. If it's not bleeding and the cut-off part is under 5mm apart, allow it to settle. It will be sore and feeding will be restricted to soft and cold diet.
