Asking for Mother, Female, 68 years old, Rawalpindi
Hi, my mum had Pneumonia in February and she had course of antibiotics and after that she had blood test done and she was found germs of typhoid, she had course of IV injections and still her temperature is there she gets temperature every other day which is 100c, could you please let me know which hospital is good and which doctor can help me out, i am attaching all the recent reports

it would be better if you consult a physician but if not then please get a udr and culture again and a blood culture at least and then can decide what to do further ideally all history and basic tests should be done
AsalamoAlaikum and Eid Greetings . Urine R/E shows Urinary tract infection . Kindly attach report of typhoid test which was positive . However you need to do her Urine culture and blood culture both and also get her COVID 19 test by PCR because as per prescription I could see that she is diabetic also and in such patients we need to rule out corona virus infection. If you have any of her last RFTs please do attach it also . Secondly bactowin is Cefoperazone , an antibiotic which is not specific for typhoid fever. Mean while keep her hydrated And give her Citrosoda sachet 8 hourly mixed In a glass of water and Panadol 2 tablets for fever . We would start antibiotic after test and according to the susceptibly of organism . Regards

Walikumsalam , Eid Mubarak to u too, could you please let me know how can i attach more report here in comment, also my mum she is allergic to paracetamol in any form when ever she takes paracetamol she does vomit a lot

Hi I am afraid I do not know the answer myself but I think admin can help u with it .However you can use ponstan forte for the fever in case of paracetamol allergy . Hope to hear from you soon Regard

Hi, thanks for your precious reply mum wasn't well today and she has been taken to Kulson memorial hospital in Islb and as she was coughing up blood , as she was been treated with high dose her stomach was damaged badly they did all the test and advice not to give her anything till we don't do endoscopy her covid 19 test was negative allhamdulillah summa allhamdulillah, rest of the blood test report was all good , she got stone in gallbladder, may Allah almighty make easier for all of us ameen

Madam I hope your mother has quick and uneventful recovery but still I think it is UTI and She must be getting some antibiotic along with ulcer treatment. All the best

Jaza k Allah khair, thnx 4r your time. i don't know what doctor has given today but will surely reply back tomorw after knowing what she has got today from doctor accept ispaghol :) .
