Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Karachi
I am unmarried. I have migraine problem since 7 to 8 years. Since last 2 years my blood pressure is around 140/100. Diastolic blood pressure is always above 100 and systolic is between 120 to 140. Current condition is I have pain on left side of head, left eye and neck. I have checked my BP that is 141/111. Kindly guide me is it normal?
its a bit higher, may be associated with migraine.tel me how is your migraine controlled.if it is well controlled then u may need dietry modification & exercise for bp.avoid salt n spicy foods n avoid any tension anxiety.after that see your bp if its not better then u may need medicine for bp.u may visit anytime.
I would recommend 24 hour Ambulatory BP monitoring. You can get it from Cardiology. Its gives average BP reading during 24 hours. And furthermore test like fundoscopy, Urine RE and ECG must be done to see that if there is any effect of blood pressure on your body. Thanks
Not normal, reduce weight and salt intake first. Bp should be less then 120/80 at your age.
If it doesn’t work let me know’ I will start you on medicines

2 years of high BP will probably not cause kidney or heart or eye damage. But if it continues like this without treatment you will be in trouble
Be proactive and do something about it.
