I want to know what are the necessary tests for the prospective couples which can be done before marriage in order to rule out the possibility of inherited/ genetic diseases problems in the kids.
And which are the best and economical labs for the said purpose.
As I have tried on my own to get the info from AKU Labs, SKMH Labs, Chughtai's but all are giving different rates for the same thing from the same lab when called 2nd time to ask them.
I think I am unable to express the test name in a way, as it used to be as I am unaware of the medical term for the said test.
Thalassemia Screening test or Thalassemia Profiling.
Please enlist all the possible tests which can be carried out by us.
Among hereditary disorders, thalessemia is for the common hereditary disease. The screening test which is done for it is Hb electrophoresis..these are all well known labs.
