Asking for Sister, Female, 29 years old, Muzafrabad
My sister hv regular periods. She missed hr period this month. She did pregnancy test after 3 to 4 days at home which was negative. She visited doc n she did tvc n then she said it was too early to tell. The very next day she started bleeding. Kindly help..why was there a delay? Is everything normal? Was it a miscarriage? She has no other medical illness. When her periods were delayed she used to hv cramps in lower abdomen. Kindly reply as soon as possible.
Going by your history, she may not have been pregnant at that time. Serum BHCG is a better test for confirming pregnancy when few days are overdue.
Some people experience cramps before periods. Something normal.
If you some worry you may get her pelvic scan done.

Thankyou doc! she is trying to conceive these days..already taking methylfolate.. what else she could go for? moreover the delayed period is a good sign or a bad sign? or she should simply ignore that as it was for the first time n focus on her conceiving?
