Asking for Self, Male, 27 years old, Mardan cantt
I'm getting married by the end of this year, the girl I'm getting married to is not from my family. now the problem is that both of her brothers are disabled and mentally abnormal. Someone from my family told us that if I get married to that girl, there are strong chances that our kids will be abnormal as well. I'm a bit worried about it. What should I do? are there any chances? also, besides this what are some tests that we both (my partner & l) should perform? like thalassemia, fertility test etc. TIA
what z diagnosis of her brothers. depends on the disease.
salaam. congenital abnormalities are more common in cousin marriages. i think you are spare of this fact. during pregnancy some test can be perform for evaluation. at this stage only genetic testing is available which will show your n your partners genetic make up but not future probability of abnormalities.
