Talk to Gynecologist on Low AFI And Induction In 37th Week
Asking For Sister, Female 26, Karachi
My sister's Amniotic fluid index is 6 cm. According to LMP she is 37 week 3 days pregnant whereas the gestational age is 36 weeks. Doctor has advised about induced labor as soon as possible. Should we go for it or get 2nd opinion? Is 6 cm AFI low?
Moreover, my according to my sister she doesn't feel much movement of the baby as it should be.

Get Another ultrasound for reconfirmation and her doctor should be consulted
salaam. she should consult gynaecologist as she may asses her bishop score and plan delivery. there should be 10 to 12 kicks in a day.
Yes afi 6 is low . Get another ultrasound + ctg done. And if both favours in term of delivery then get the baby delivered as soon as possible
