Asking for Self, Female, 33 years old, Lahore
Don't mention my name. I am mother of two and breastfeed my 8 months old daughter. 2 months back I had placed femplant(in arm for 5 year gap). I got my last periods on 11 March and no periods till now in this month. What are the possible reasons. Can I conceived with this iud?

Changes in vaginal bleeding patterns, including absence of menstruation (amenorrhea)is one of the commonest side effects of these implants, don’t worry about pregnancy,but to be 100% sure do serum Beta HCG level if it is negative you can relax. just for your information ( I am sure the person who did it must have told you about this in case they had not)

femplant isnt an IUD-its a sub dermal implant-while breast feeding periods do get disturbed and then u implant in situ as well-pregnancy chance is 1-2%-in 1000 women 1 will gt pregnant wth femplant on over the time of 3 years-no contraceptive is 100% pregnancy preventing-anyways u rule out pregnancy first then further mx can b devised...
