Asking for Self, Female, 29 years old, Rawalpindi
Assalamo Aliakum...I am 38 weeks pregnant and i feel strong pains like menstrual cramps from last 10 days ..plus i am having severe pains in my arms and hand joints...I am taking multi vitamins and every thing is fine as per last ultrasound and HB is also fine... Whats could be the reasons behind those cramps can you plz guide me...they are so strong sometimes like i feel labor has started but after smtimes they vanished.

hello dear. thanks fir sharing your concerns. i see that you are worried if your contractions are due to labour or a false alarm. a good clue will be to look for contractions which lasting 1-3 minutes repeated every 10 15 minutes for a few hours. that would be your cue to rush to the hospital. otherwise these non sustaining irregular contractions are pretty normal for last trimester pregnancy. good luck
Usually false pains before actual labour pain starts usually of short duration if prolong consistentand frequent pain consult your gynecologist
