I am taking pills meliane from last 4 months for contraception i am 7 mo pp via c sec .my khala had breast carcinoma am I at risk of it in future if I continue taking meliane for like 2 or 3 years ?or can I develop any other complication because of meliane ?plz tel in detail here I can't visit clinic due to some issues

7 month post partum if u r breast feeding u shouldn’t be on meliane .. and ur aunt having breast cancer puts u on risk indirectly.. if u want contraception for a longer period of time plz visit ur gynac for long acting contraceptive options .. better to use meliane not longer than 6months to 1 year
Remember one thing, no medicine is without side effects. We have to balance advantages against disadvantages. Or you can say that we need to do a risk benefit analysis.
Melaine is an effective contraceptive but all the OCPs can be risky for those who have a history of breast cancer.
So be cautious.
